Demi Lovato is a popular pop singer that started using exclusively they/them pronouns in 2021, stating “I didn’t feel like a woman, I didn’t feel like a man. I just felt like a human. That’s what they/them is about for me — feeling human at your core.” A year later, they added she/her as a pronoun again because “Recently, I’ve been feeling more feminine, so I’ve adopted she/her again.” People were also confused on how to refer to her.
